Costa Rica Monkeys Toucans and Sloths
Travelers come to Costa Rica from all over the world in search of all kinds of wildlife, but none more revered than the monkey’s, toucan’s and sloth’s. After spending a month on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, it did not dissapoint!
We rented a house for a month and this guy had me laughing hysterically as I layed in a hammock watching him do his afternoon stretch.
The Toucan’s were difficult for me to find my first two weeks, but once I knew where to look and what to listen for, they are everywhere!
Strolling along the Punta Uva Beach, this mama was spending the afternoon eating, while her baby was sleeping in a tree close by.
This mama and her baby were regular visitors to feed on the “monkey fruit” in our yard.
This guy was crossing the road as we were biking home.
Sloths are so cute to look at, but not all that exciting. Here’s two short clips of both a two-toed sloth and three-toed sloth, to see them in action.
For some reason whenever I misplace something, I find myself yelling MONKEY BALLS!!!!
